Carmen Tissues was established as a family business, since 1974. Carmen is one of the first companies in Egypt to produce hygienic tissue paper. During the last quarter of year 2007, Amoun Holdings Co. acquired Carmen Tissues as a business diversification activity and became Carmen Tissues, SAE.

 

Company Timeline
 
1974 Carmen Tissues was established as a family business, with limited liability partnership. Initial location was in Hawamdia, October 6 City, Giza, Egypt. The first plant included converting capacities only, depending on importing jumbo reels for supply.
   
1984 Carmen Tissues legal structure was transformed into Egyptian Joint Stock Company.
   
1989 Carmen Tissues location moved from Hawamdia to October 6 City, Giza, Egypt.
   
1992 The paper machine (MILL) starts operation to supply jumbo reels for converting plant.
   
1994 Carmen Pack starts operation.
   
2007 Amoun Holdings Co. acquired Carmen Tissues.
   
2008 Major actions took place within all sectors to form totally new entity to become Carmen Tissues, SAE.
   
2010 Carmen Tissues started exporting its products worldwide.
   
2013 Carmen USA has been established to serve the US market.
